IT AIN’T EASY EATING GREEN AND OTHER REASONS WHY CHEESECAKE WILL ALWAYS TASTE BETTER THAN SALAD, UNLESS THEY INVENT CHOCOLATE FLAVOURED LETTUCE, AND THEN SALAD WINS
The biggest issue I have and have heard from others is taste.
Those of us who struggle “giving up” foods that are “not good” for us, have little to replace it within the flavour profile that makes our tastebuds explode with the same voluptuous raptures as would a yummy foodgasm.
I cannot sub in a “blander” version that’s “close enough”. The assortment of meat-like and dairy-like products are not close enough to the cigar for me to smoke it. So I won’t. Whereas I am more than capable to enable self discipline skills to meter portions, I will not give up the real deal for a phony flavour fraud.
The introduction of healthier foods MUST MUST MUST balance the scales of flavour justice, or long-term it will not be a sustainable lifestyle choice.
How DO we make salad more fun, without making it just another something we drown in dressing filled with fat/calories/chemical preservatives that our bodies already struggle to appropriately metabolize.
LOAD HEALTHY FLAVOURS INTO IT!!!!!!
Carrots, celery, cucumber and iceberg lettuce may very well be healthy, but it doesn’t really satisfy the tastebud lust like cheesecake. So how can you make a salad that is healthy, hearty and full of the same satisfying yummy goodness as our less healthier options.
I ORDER YOU TO PLAY WITH YOUR FOOD!!!!!
Have fun, experiment, try different flavour combinations of things you know you love that may very well make some leafy green stuff a lot more exciting.
